Top 5 Posts of 2023

January 5, 2024

Happy New Years! Looking back on 2023, it was quite a ride. We, as a society, have moved beyond the pandemic, but we are not the same people (or organizations) that we were prior to the pandemic. Many people (and organizations) took some time for self-reflection and truly tried to change the trajectory of their futures.

In my world 2023 was a watershed year. I dealt with many clients who were at a crossroads in their professional lives asking themselves — do I continue on the same path, or do I truly try to alter my organization’s future? If the clients tried to forge an alternative path, the journey was often bumpy, as it takes time to garner consensus to change the path. Generally, my clients saw an increase in both dollars and meaningful interactions with donors.

Looking back at 2023, the articles that people read the most were:

  1. Giving Tuesday — Does it Work?
  2. Stop Doing These Things
  3. The Gambler: Lyrics to Live By
  4. Uncharitable — The Movie
  5. Will AI Replace Fundraisers?

If there is an article that you would like to see me post about, just drop me a note and let me know!

Until next week.
