Episode 16 of Tales From the Trenches Tuesdays features Micah Garten, Director of Development for the Jewish Federation of Ottawa. Micah is a very thoughtful and purposeful fundraiser and (usually) has excellent taste in single malt whiskey.
I talk to Micah about his best canvass and worst canvass. We also talk about the need to meaningfully engage the next generation as well.
Micah is an honest, funny guy, and it was indeed my pleasure to chat with him.
In my generation, they went something new. Something shiny. And then often, on to the next thing. And the challenge for charities is that that’s not how they operate.
